We catered our first event at Lake Logan Episcopal Center this weekend and sort of fell in love. The Sit-n-Whittle Lodge and its surrounding “village” of cabins have the charm of old world Europe and the gorgeous Carolina mountain lakeside views we all moved here to enjoy. We had a fantastic prep kitchen in which to work up our split-plate rehearsal dinner of locally raised Sunburst trout and our signature beef tenderloin in a red wine redux, served along with our creamy goat cheese grits and al dente asparagus. The guests and hostess were thrilled, and we thoroughly enjoyed the venue. All in all we left with our lungs full of clean mountain air and the gratitude of our client. A good way to kick off the weekend!
Then we got a thank you note, which is always so appreciated! But this one was was so good, we had to share…
|Dear Tara and Ragan,
I just wanted to thank you again for the fantastic meal you prepared for us. The evening was a total success not in small part due to CP and staff.
When I first learned that I had to host my son’s rehearsal dinner at Lake Logan, as opposed to a restaurant where everything is taken care of, I panicked. In Atlanta I would know what to do, and who to hire, but I was out of my comfort zone in NC. Choosing Colorful Palate was the best decision I made. I will happily refer you on to anyone in need of a caterer in WNC.
Thank you so much!
THANK YOU ZINNIA!!!! for introducing us to a great venue and for being a foodie client!
