An Old Fashioned Old Fashion
I can’t believe we haven’t posted this cocktail yet! It is one of our all-time favorites! The first time we served it was for the Asheville Chamber of Commerce Culinary Affair in 2009…it was a HUGE hit! There were multiple guests who had multiple cocktails and even requested a comeback in 2010!
We are serving it again this weekend for a beautiful wedding at the Pavillion on Lake Tahoma…this place is amazing! It is an open-air pavillion right in the middle of the lake with 360* views of mountains!
So, enjoy the Old Fashion…a delicious Fall cocktail!
2oz Bourbon or Whiskey
1 Dash of Bitters
1 Wedge of Orange
1 Splash of Soda Water
2 Tablespoons Cherry Syrup (This is the key ingredient!) Our Cherry Syrup is made with 1-2 bags of frozen, dark cherries macerated in a simple syrup (1 cup sugar, 1 cup H2O) with orange wedges. This “concoction” is reduced on the stovetop until a thick syrup is formed. AND, you can keep it in the fridge for about a week or so to enjoy throughout the week!
We like to garnish our Old Fashion with a skewered dark cherry and orange wedge!
Peach Lime & Mint Daiquiris – enough for four STRONG drinks
1 Cup light rum
2 Cups Frozen Homemade Peach Puree (fresh peaches -skin on, sugar and lemon juice)
2 Tbs Frozen Limeade
2 Tsp Chopped Fresh Mint, plus whole leaves for garnish
Ice
Blend it all in a blender. Add additional portions of any ingredient you want to taste more of. Enjoy!!!!

1 Cup of your favorite hot chocolate
1/2 oz. Vanilla Vodka
1/2 oz. Amaretto
1/2 oz. Chocolate Liquor

2 oz. Vodka
1 oz. Blue Curaceu
1 oz. Simple Syrup
Splash of Rose’s Lime Juice

BOURBON. That’s it. Just bourbon. In a glass. With ice. MAYBE a splash of Ginger Ale. Maybe not….
Other Favorites: Old Fashions, Mint Juleps, Game Day (that means EXTRA strong) Bourbon & Coke, and Bourbon Spiked Hot Chocolate (RIDICULOUS.)
